The Journal for Weavers Spinners and Dyers

About Us

The Journal is the quarterly magazine of the UK Association of Guilds of Weavers, Spinners & Dyers. Our high quality issues, in print and digital formats, are published in February, May, August and November and are available by subscription or one-off purchase.

It is produced by a team of volunteers (the Journal Editorial Committee) who commission, write and edit copy, which is set out in each issue by a professional designer. The volunteer editors are ordinary Guild members who serve for 3-5 years in set roles and are elected by the AGM of the Association on a rolling basis, and normally recruited by advertisement in the monthly Association Newsletter. The management of the Journal'sfinance, advertising and subscriptions is similarly undertaken by volunteer Guild members.
